Traveling France – Flea/Marche Finds!
We began our day with the first destination of Carpentras Sunday Marche with no clue that there was a very similar marche just around the corner from us! We both stopped dead in our tracks and said, “Oh, my. Here we go!” There is just about anything here that you may be collecting.
I’ve been on the hunt for some older lace and linen, but the prices are incredibly high. For a 36×36 lace tablecloth it was $70 Euro! For a small motif piece of lace, $20 Euro! Yikes!
I would love to figure out a way to make this chair (or any of them) adhere to me and board a plane! There have been way too many I am leaving behind I would love to have!
Mirrors from here would be awesome refinished with some of the Maison Blanche Vintage Furniture Paint! Check out the instruments and the piles of fun treasure to look through! So many items that I could use for furniture painting and utilize into my Mixed Media Art!
I spy a copper pot – do you? Not only did we grab this pot and, of course, it weighs two tons, that didn’t deter Neadeen from lugging it to the car. In the photo below, shows another find that will one day end up in a painting for sure! Don’t you just love the warm colors of copper – this look for sure will be attempted onto a piece of furniture!
Both of us will be overpacked and have some weight to our luggage. Do you think this piece will fit in Neadeen’s largest piece of luggage along with the other seven pieces of copper she purchased? Stay tuned for that as we promise to video us trying to get everything into suitcases and carry-ons!
Check out this display from a vendor that had some of the most beautiful pieces of silver.
Me thinks this could possibly have to carry all our luggage to the airplane in 5 days! Hehehe……….
